Seasoned India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin together with England captain Joe Root and West Indies’ new batting sensation Kyle Mayers had been on Tuesday nominated for the ICC ‘Participant of the Month’ for their distinctive performances in February.
Ashwin performed three Checks towards England and scored 106 in the second innings of India’s second Check victory at Chennai and took his four-hundredth Check wicket in the third Check victory at Ahmedabad.

“Scoring a complete of 176 runs throughout these video games with taking a complete of 24 wickets, Ashwin is the deserving candidate to be nominated in the males’s class for February,” the ICC launch said.
“England Check captain Joe Root makes it to the record of nominations once more this month for his excellent efficiency with the bat and the ball. He scored a complete of 333 runs and took 6 wickets total in the 3 Checks that he performed towards India,” it additional said.
Root began the sequence with an excellent 218 in the opening Check.
From the West Indies, Check debutant Mayers performed two matches towards Bangladesh and had a match-winning knock of 210 to assist his workforce efficiently chase a goal of 395 at Chittagong.
In the girls’s part, Tammy Beaumont and Nat Sciver of England together with Brooke Halliday of New Zealand have been nominated.
